Once glass has been cooled, it is ready for final step in process. This step involves cutting and polishing glass to create desired shape, size, and finish. This is often done with specialized tools such as grinding wheels and diamond saws. Once glass has been cut and polished, it is ready for use in its various applications.
Making glass from sand is an incredibly complex and labor-intensive process. However, end result is a material composed of same elements that have been used since early days of mankind. Glass is a key component of modern world and plays an important role in many aspects of everyday life.
