Find scratches on your glasses, windows, or phone screen? Finding scratches on glass can be very frustrating, especially if you have to look at it all the time. Don't worry, all hope is not lost. Small scratches on the glass can be removed or at least masked so that they are less noticeable.
Polishing toothpasteClean the glass
Rinse the glass with a clean cloth, making sure there is no debris on the glass. Let the glass dry before attempting to repair the scratch.
Wet the microfiber cloth
Place a clean, lint-free cloth under running warm water. Wring out the fabric until no excess moisture is dripping from it.
Squeeze some toothpaste onto a cloth
Squeeze the tube of toothpaste until you squeeze out an amount of toothpaste the size of your little finger. It's best to be careful with the amount of toothpaste you use. You can apply more when working with scratches later.
Smear the toothpaste on the glass
Apply a cloth and toothpaste to the scratch. Move the fabric in small circular motions for 30 seconds.
Reapply toothpaste
See what this area looks like. You may need to use toothpaste several times to reduce scratches. Repeat the steps above, put a drop of toothpaste on the washcloth and rub it in a circular motion on the scratch for 30 seconds.
Clean the glass
Take a clean cloth and dampen it under the tap. Wring out excess water again, then wipe the glass again with a damp cloth. This makes the glass shine.

Use a clean microfiber cloth to keep debris out of the scratches. Dampen the cloth with warm water, then wash the mug as usual.
Mix equal parts baking soda and water
You only need one scoop or less of each ingredient. It's best to keep them in a bowl so you can mix them up with a spoon and get rid of the big clumps of baking soda. After mixing, you will get a pudding-like paste.
Collect the paste with a microfiber cloth
Use new fabric again. This helps wrap the fabric around your fingers and press the fabric into the paste. This way you will get a small amount of paste.
Knead the dough into a round shape
Apply the paste to the glass and rub off the scratches in a circular motion. Watch for 30 seconds to see if the scratches disappear.
Wash the area
Rinse the glass or wipe it with a new cloth. Dampen a washcloth with warm water and place it over the scratched area, making sure the baking soda paste is completely removed.

Apply varnish to the scratch
Put a rag over the scratch and buff it out. . Move the fabric in a circular motion for about 30 seconds. The scratches should decrease or completely disappear. Do not add more polish as this may damage the glass.
Wash off nail polish
Wet a clean cloth with warm water. Wipe the polished area to remove the metallic polish.
Using nail polish on individual scratchesClean the glass
Clean the glass as usual, for example with glass cleaner or a damp microfiber cloth. Be sure to remove all debris from the glass surface, then allow the glass to dry.
Dip the applicator brush into the polish
Scratches should only be treated with a bottle of clear nail polish. Dip the applicator from the bottle into your nail polish. A small layer of varnish is applied to scratches.
Apply varnish to the scratches
Rub the applicator over the scratch. Minimize contact with othersglass. When the varnish comes off the brush, it penetrates the scratches and removes visible stains.
Let the varnish dry for an hour
Stay away from varnish as it can seep into scratches. Came back an hour later, ready to go for polishing.
Apply nail polish remover to a microfiber cloth
Carefully pour nail polish remover onto a clean cloth until a small drop of nail polish remains on the cloth. You just need enough of something to neutralize the polish.
Wipe off scratches with a cloth
Use a rag to apply nail polish remover to the scratches. Once you've made sure all the polish has been removed, you're ready to admire your new glass.
