St. Peter & St. Mary Redevelopment Team

Several of us have been asked to form a Redevelopment Team that will be taking a close look at our history and make some recomendations about the future direction and opportunities for our congregation. Lou Blanchard has come from the Diocese to help guide us as we begin to look closely at who we are and who we are to become. I don't think any of us were surprised that the first question of this process has to be posed to God, "what would you have us be?" The harder part is to listen for the answers. A commitment to pray daily and together as a community is going to be vital.

We continue to need your input! We have put up some large sheets of paper in the church hall with pictures of priests who have been here and ask for people to lend stories. We are looking for the positive things that have brought us together and kept us together. Our church has a lot to offer and this was suggested as way that we can look at our history and find a starting point. It will take all of us to make this happen and that means identifying what each of us value and want from our community.

We see it as an opportunity for growth. Please feel free to contact any of us with questions or ideas. We will also be taking turns giving similar updates and asking for participation during announcements on Sundays.
